Rehearsal Notes May 4 2015
Present:
Elaine, Clay, Chandler Scott
Topics Soiree and Service Planning , Summer Break
Soiree Planning:
We did some planning for the Soiree, which is the Silent Auction event we are hosting. It will be like last year: at Elaine's house, serving lite dinner and drinks ( though with Larry involved there is never any such thing as a little bit of food). Here's songs we mentioned. I'm sure I've missed some so please add to the list.
First Attempt at a List of Possible Songs
*Some will be Sing a Longs
Walk on By
Do you Know the Way to San Jose
Islands in the Stream
Sing-- from Chorus Line
I Won't Say Im in Love
Somewhere Over the Rainbow
Dream a Little Dream of Me
NewYork New York
UUFC Sunday Service Planning
Summer Solstice is June 20. Sadly, Elaine later realized she will be out of town this date so can not partake.
We played with some of the songs in the Green TurquoiseHymnal that work well all sung together:
1073 The Earth is Our Mother
1072 Evening Breeze
and was the 3rd:
1069 Ancient Mother ??
Summer Break
We are taking the month of May off.

Veni Sancte Spiritus for Sunday
Hoping and praying that there will be some people who bite re the pickup choir.
Susan Clay will practice a few additional descant verses; we decided it would be fun to add some more. Stand by for Sun. a.m. when we'll know which ones came to fruition.
Meeting at 9h45 Sunday.
******************************
Upcoming…
NOTHING. We cannot sing 6/14 after all b/c Elaine has a wedding; we thought about going ahead but "One Voice" needs a fair amount of work still so we'll just bag it.
Possibility of singing something for the Summer Solstice service but pretty iffy.
We will still meet next Monday just for the heck of it.
We will try to get together several times over the summer (wine parties?) to practice repertoire stuff and look at ideas for fall so that when we start back up we're not starting up cold.
